FIRST CONSULTATION
The first appointment will involve talking about why you are seeking an appointment as well as taking a detailed health history. Medical herbalists combine traditional knowledge of plants with more recent scientific research to create an individually tailored treatment plan. At the end of the appointment an appropriate treatment plan will be developed. We are trained in being able to recognise when to refer for blood tests or more investigations, often working alongside conventional medicine.
We are frequently asked how long will the treatment take. This can be very hard to answer. It depends on what you are seeking help with and how serious and entrenched the problem is. On average treatment can last around 3-4 months but there are people with chronic health conditions who we can support for years.
We are now offering online or in-person appointments, it is your choice.
If the appointment is in person the initial appointment will last around an hour, and each subsequent visit around 40 minutes with medicine dispensed during that time. If the appointment is online, the initial appointment will be around 45 minutes to an hour, and subsequent ones around 30 minutes, as medicine dispensing happens separately.
A review is booked in 3-4 weeks time to assess whether the treatment is starting to help.
Cancellation Policy
We are sure you will understand that we have to operate a cancellation policy for all appointments booked.
If the appointment is not attended on the day, or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, we ask you to pay for your missed appointment.

COSTS
The clinic operates a sliding scale fee structure according to income. If this is implemented effectively, everyone pays a similar percentage of their income for the same services.
We are striving to make herbal medicine accessible to as many people as possible. Paying according to one’s available resources creates a more equitable system for pricing of products and services. By supporting this clinic you are enabling many more people to be able to access herbal medicine which we really appreciate.
Initial appointments are charged at slightly more than follow-ups to account for the extra time it takes to take a full case history.
