Herbal MedicinE INTERMEDIATE COURSE

2020 dates to be announced soon - please sign up to the newsletter for latest announcements.

We are running this course at St Werburghs Community Centre 7pm till 9pm on six Tuesday evenings from Tuesday 30th April till June 4th 2019

This is our more in-depth six week herbal course that takes a more detailed look at the different body systems, learning more about their anatomy, how the body works, a deeper look at our herbal approach to each system and the most useful herbs for common conditions specific to the systems. Take your herbal medicine knowledge to the next level.

This course will broaden your herbal skills and deepen your understanding of the human body. We will explore each body system and the medicinal herbs specific to them.

There will be an emphasis on understanding symptoms, treating common conditions and developing herbal formulas as well as in-depth plant studies. Every week there will be specific case studies to go home with, reflect on, choose herbal strategies and review together in the next class.

During the course the class you will have one herb to focus on over the six weeks. You will each taste, and experience this herb and compare experiences with the rest of the last class.

Every week you will make a different medicine to take home with you. You will learn practical skills including making decocted tinctures, mineral tonics, herbal cough sweets, hand and face creams and bitter liqueurs.
