Clinic
Our clinic is open but we have adapted to the situation by doing all appointments via online platforms e.g. Zoom. We will then make the herbal prescriptions and then you can pick up herbs from our new address: 12 Devon Grove, Redfield BS5 9AH. This could be particularly important for chronic or ongoing conditions, as access to non-urgent NHS services is reduced. If you would like to make an appointment please get in touch.
*We have some reduced capacity over the summer holidays as we are away for some of the time*
Covid-19
For anyone who has Covid-19 or knows they may be in the vulnerable/at risk group we are offering shorter focused consultations and will respond with a care package that can be picked up or delivered. If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 we will be in more regular contact with you and respond to changing circumstances with appropriate herbs. We are collating info from medics and herbalists all over the world to be able to respond as effectively as we can.
NO-ONE who has symptoms of Covid-19 will be turned away due to lack of funds which is why we are asking people to donate money or gift an immune tonic. (see below)
Our support and advice does not contradict the NHS advice to seek medical advice by calling 111 if you believe you are experiencing symptoms of the virus, particularly breathing difficulties.
WE HAVE COMPILED SPECIFIC SELF-CARE ADVICE FOR COPING WITH THE VIRUS HERE
Donations
We also want to be able to gift herbal packages to vulnerable people, particularly those who have lost jobs or are struggling financially, but also to all those frontline workers in minimum wage jobs working very hard in healthcare/shops/deliveries etc
If you know of anybody who would benefit from this please email us at rhizomeclinic@gmail.com and we will do our best to prioritise the most in need.
We can give our time for free but herbs need to be paid for so if you would like to donate some money to help someone access herbs, then you can do so here https://www.paypal.me/rhizomeclinic
Video Series
When the pandemic started we began formulating ideas of how to be effective community herbalists as well as be able to sustain our own dispensary. Back in Spring 2020 we produced a series of short videos talking about building immunity and resilience, acute immunity, herbs for sleep and anxiety and you can watch them here.
Also, we put out this document just before the initial lockdown on herbal helpers at this time, so do take a look for some good advice.
