We are passionate about teaching self-care herbal medicine, and through a series of short and longer courses we hope to pass that enthusiasm on to many more people. We feel it’s important for everyone to have basic knowledge of their bodies and the skills for preparing herbal treatments in the home for family and friends.
Courses on a range of topics at different levels of previous experience are held throughout the year. We also run a series of informative seasonal herb walks and are available to run workshops for community groups.
You can do our basic level classes, the foundation course, kitchen medicine, plant studies course and the women's health courses with no previous herbal experience. The Intermediate course and the wild medicine course require some previous herbal knowledge.
Many of our courses are now online. However we are now introducing some face to face courses and herb walks.
The online courses are a combination of videos of our teaching followed up by weekly Q and A sessions.
In order to adapt the practical element of our courses to the online environment, we will explain each practical medicine making task so that you can make medicines at home with the herbs that grow around you, sometimes using dried and sometimes fresh herbs.
For up to date information on all our courses, subscribe to our mailing list at the bottom of the page. Our next course is our online 6 week Foundation Course that starts on Thursday 28th April when you receive your first class. The live Q and A that follows each week will start on Thursday 5th May and end on Thursday 9th June.
The next Bristol based course is the 6 week Outdoor Summer School starting on Wednesday 22nd June.
